Byron contacted me with several antique photos from his family collection. They were all extensively deteriorated from age and exposure to sunlight, plus some that featured physical damage like wrinkles and pen marks. I was able to scan them, repair the damage, and enhance the photos for better contrast and clarity.

These are always really fun to do because I’m repairing someone else’s memories, and in many cases, it may be a photo that was written off as lost forever. Sometimes, a couple of minutes is all it takes to bring back the past forever.

Before. Significant damage to the plastic layer above, pen/marker damage, and some minor damage to the image itself. Also features a slight yellow hue due to aging.
After. Enhanced contrast, sharpening, damage removal, and color correction back to an even black and white format.
Before. This image featured a significant amount of fading of the upper plastic layer of the film as well as some minor scratches to the surface.
After. Eliminated the haze and fading, enhanced all contrast, removed scratches, and general cleanup.
Before. Significant fading, minor damage to the plastic layer.
After. Removed the fading, enhanced all contrast and fixed some of the scratches/damage.
Before. Vintage photo features heavy sepia brown tint.
After. Removed sepia tint and set to black and white for clarity.
Before. Minor tears to the paper and wrinkling throughout.
After. Repaired the torn sections and removed wrinkles.
Before. Major tearing and missing pieces from the photo.
After. Repaired damaged/missing areas where possible.
